Terms of Service
Effective date: 2026-10-01
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of xronogram, including our website, apps, legal pages, content tools, credits, transfer flows, and related services. By creating an account, purchasing credits, claiming a second, publishing content, or otherwise using xronogram, you agree to these Terms.
xronogram is operated by XRONOGRAM LTD, a company registered in the Republic of Cyprus under registration number HE 496915. These Terms are an agreement between you and XRONOGRAM LTD. In these Terms, "we", "us", and "our" mean XRONOGRAM LTD, and so does "xronogram" wherever it refers to a party to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Eligibility and account responsibilities
- You must be at least 13 years old to use xronogram. If local law requires a higher minimum age or parental consent, you may use the service only if you meet that requirement.
- You must provide accurate information when we ask for it and keep your account credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account, including content, transfers, purchases, and reports submitted from it.
- You may not share your login with other people or try to access accounts that are not yours.
- If you sign in through Google or another third-party identity provider, that provider's terms and privacy practices also apply to that sign-in flow.
2. What xronogram offers
xronogram lets users claim a second in time within the service, personalize that second with content cards, share it, and transfer it using product flows that we make available.
A claimed second is a platform-level record of attribution and control inside xronogram only. It does not give you legal ownership of time itself, exclusivity outside the service, intellectual-property rights in a timestamp, or any right to prevent other people from referring to the same moment elsewhere.
3. Claimed seconds, visibility, and transfers
- Only one active xronogram owner record may exist for a second at a time.
- Owners can manage the content and visibility of their seconds subject to product limits, these Terms, and the Community Guidelines.
- Visibility settings affect who can access a second inside xronogram. Public seconds may be visible broadly. Followers-only seconds are visible to users who currently follow the owner. Restricted seconds are limited to authorized viewers. Private seconds are intended for the owner only unless a product action expands access.
- Some sharing or tagging flows may change access scope. For example, a private second may become restricted if the product indicates that a sharing action will grant access to other users.
- Transfers must use the workflows we provide. Transfers may require approval, may expire, and may be cancelled or reversed if we detect fraud, abuse, mistake, legal risk, chargeback activity, or technical failure.
- We may preserve ownership history and related records to maintain the integrity of the service.
4. Credits, purchases, taxes, and refunds
- Credits are virtual platform assets that can be used only inside xronogram for features and actions that we make available.
- Credits are not bank deposits, stored-value accounts, or personal property outside the service, and they do not have cash value except where required by applicable law.
- Credit purchases are processed through payment providers we designate. Credits are added to your balance only after payment is successfully confirmed.
- All credit purchases are final and non-refundable once credits are made available to your account, except where a refund is required by applicable law or we expressly grant one.
- By purchasing credits for immediate use in the service, you expressly request immediate performance of the digital service and acknowledge that, where applicable law allows, this can result in the loss of any withdrawal right that would otherwise apply.
- Used or consumed credits are non-refundable.
- Available, unused, or remaining credit balances cannot be redeemed, exchanged, or withdrawn for cash, except where required by applicable law.
- We aim for the price shown in the product to match the amount charged, including tax where configured.
- We may refuse, delay, hold, deduct, reverse, or cancel credits if a payment fails, is reversed, is charged back, is linked to fraud or abuse, or was issued by mistake.
- Promotional, bonus, or goodwill credits may be subject to separate conditions and may be revoked if issued in error or obtained through abuse.
5. User content and licenses
- You keep the rights you already have in content that you upload, submit, or publish on xronogram.
- You give xronogram a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt for technical purposes, display, distribute, and otherwise process your content as needed to operate, secure, improve, and promote the service.
- This license includes showing your content according to the visibility settings you choose, generating previews or certificates, moderating content, and keeping backup or audit copies for operational and legal reasons.
- You must have the rights needed to post the content you upload, including photos, videos, text, links, names, trademarks, and other material.
- You may not upload content that infringes another person's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
6. xronogram intellectual property
- XRONOGRAM LTD and its licensors retain all rights in the service itself, including our software, interface, branding, logos, designs, compilations, and platform-generated materials other than your own content.
- These Terms do not transfer ownership of xronogram intellectual property to you.
- You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, scrape, frame, republish, sell, or exploit the service except as allowed by law or with our written permission.
- You may not use xronogram names, logos, or trade dress in a way that implies endorsement or causes confusion.
7. Acceptable use and Community Guidelines
You must use xronogram lawfully and respectfully. In particular, you may not:
- post unlawful, abusive, hateful, harassing, sexually exploitative, fraudulent, or privacy-invasive material;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your relationship to a person, brand, or organization;
- spam users, manipulate engagement, or abuse reporting, transfers, or credits workflows;
- interfere with the security, integrity, or availability of the service;
- attempt to bypass access controls, rate limits, payments, moderation actions, or account restrictions.
The Community Guidelines are incorporated into these Terms and help explain behavior and content standards in more detail.
8. Moderation and enforcement
We may review content, reports, transfer activity, credit activity, and account behavior to protect users, comply with law, and enforce these Terms.
Depending on the situation, we may warn you, remove content, limit visibility, suspend features, freeze credits, cancel transfers, disable account actions, suspend your account, or terminate access.
We may also preserve evidence, cooperate with law enforcement, and take any action reasonably necessary to address safety, fraud, abuse, or legal risk.
9. Deactivation, termination, and data effects
- You can deactivate your account through the available account settings. Deactivation disables normal account use and removes your profile from normal visibility to other users, but your data and service records remain in our systems unless and until you permanently terminate the account or we are required to delete data by law.
- You can request permanent account termination through the available account workflow or by contacting us. Permanent termination deletes or anonymizes data where our systems and legal obligations permit, including owned seconds, uploaded media, transfer artifacts, and account-facing profile data, while allowing us to retain records required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting, financial-reporting, or audit purposes.
- We can suspend, restrict, or terminate access if you materially or repeatedly violate these Terms, create risk for other users, or expose xronogram to legal or operational harm.
10. Service changes and availability
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We do not guarantee that xronogram will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device, browser, or jurisdiction.
11. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, xronogram is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement except to the extent such disclaimers are not allowed by applicable law.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, xronogram and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or opportunities arising out of or related to the service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, xronogram's total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service will not exceed the total amount you paid to xronogram in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded, including mandatory consumer rights.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will publish the new version at this page, update the effective date, and take additional notice steps if required by law or if the change is material.
14. Governing law, disputes, and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, without depriving you of any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. The courts of the Republic of Cyprus have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, but if you are a consumer, you may also bring proceedings in the courts where you live when applicable law allows. Before filing a formal claim, you and xronogram agree to try to resolve the dispute by contacting the other party in good faith.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@xronogram.com. If you are signed in, you can also use the contact form in the product to send an automated email to support. For privacy-specific requests, see the Privacy Policy.
